Max Schwabe (December 6, 1905 – July 31, 1983) was a U.S. Representative from Missouri, brother of George Blaine Schwabe. Born in Columbia, Missouri, Schwabe attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Insurance agent. Farmer. Schwabe was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-eighth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1943 – January 3, 1949). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Eighty-first Congress in 1948. Missouri State director, Farmers Home Administration, United States Department of Agriculture from 1953 to 1961. He died on July 31, 1983, in Columbia, Missouri.
